Alexandre Gama of the Brazilian advertising agency, Neogama, has been a long-time copywriter and creative director. It all started in 1981 when Gama graduated from Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation and took a job as a copywriter at Standard Ogilvy & Mather. While at Standard, Gama established himself as one of the best copywriters in his generation.
Gama was not satisfied with just working as a copywriter and in 1990 he became a creative director at another agency, DM9. The moved proved that Gama was not a one-trick pony as he was highly successful in his new role. He then moved onto Almap BBDO in 1994 and Young & Rubicam in 1996, leaving the latter in 1999.
Gama then launched his own advertising agency which he called Neogama. The agency is still in operation today and has been recognized globally as well as being one of the best and largest agencies in Brazil.
